The Challenge

Challenge Mulanje

Challenge Mulanje involves cycling through the tea plantations from Blantyre to Mount Mulanje, where they will be met by FOMO orphans (more than likely with a song and a dance), they will then hike Mount Mulanje, Africa’s second highest mountain, taking with them some of the orphans on their first ever holiday: A real treat!

They will then cycle between all 11 centres that FOMO has built to care for 4,500 orphans. (Again participants will be met with more singing and dancing). Here participants will help with the food programmes, help to distribute clothes, books and school equipment, help with their games and activities. But more importantly, they will spend time with the orphans, showing them that they haven’t been forgotten by the Western World.

FOMO

Challenge Mulanje hopes to raise over £75,000 and the proceeds will provide a purpose built skills centre, equipped to help our orphans find work and support their future families.
