About Us - Challenge Mulanje

Challenge Mulanje

Challenge Mulanje has been created after Manchester businessman Dave Armstrong took part in Mission Malawi2.

"This trip in 2006 totally changed my life and I knew I had to do something else for the beautiful people of Malawi. Within weeks of my first trip to Malawi, I was back again, checking out the FOMO project and after another visit in 2007, I have designed this trip to give 30 people the opportunity to see for themselves the great work of FOMO, whilst raising much needed funds to build a brand new skills centre, whereby orphans can gather essential life skills, trades and knowledge to help them raise their families and help them fight a life of poverty".

But more importantly Challenge Mulanje will let our FOMO orphans know that they are loved, when participants give their time to spend time with them.

Participants’ time raising awareness and funds in the UK is greatly appreciated. If you would like to take part in the event please contact us.

Those children left behind, had no one to turn to until Malawian born Mary Woodworth and her Preston born husband Keith Woodworth founded FOMO in 2000. They have worked tirelessly along with many other UK volunteers to provide essential requirements for the orphans. Their aims are to provide;
